2G Scam Case Verdict: All Have Been Acquitted

In a shocking verdict of the famous 2G scam case which was considered to be the biggest scam ever all the accused have been released by the CBI special court, Delhi, today (December 21). This scam was considered to be one of the biggest scam in the world as the figure said to be was about 2 lakh crore Indian rupees. However, during the final stages of this case the amount was claimed to Rs. 200 crore rupees.

There were political dramas and exchange of words on this case between political parties in the state level and national level with reference to this case. Main accused in this 2G scam case were, then Telecom minister A. Raja and Member of Parliament Ms. Kanimozhi (daughter of M. Karunanidhi). There were other accused in this case from DMK party including DMK chief M. Karunanidhi’s wife Ms. Dhayalu Ammal.

CBI court today acquitted everyone involved in this case saying the opposite side failed to prove the crime with proper evidence. Further, Dr. Subramaniaswamy who brought up this issue and filed this 2G case to the court said after this verdict that he is going to take up case further to the Delhi High Court. According to legal procedures this verdict can be further challenged at Delhi High Court and then at Supreme Court of India.

DMK party cadres are celebrating the verdict at their party headquarters in Chennai. DMK’s present chief M.K.Stalin expressed his happiness towards this verdict. Since M. Kanimozhi holds top position in the DMK party being a Member of Parliament, this verdict holds a key point to further engage in party’s activities.
