The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital and then taken to Coimbatore government hospital. Sadly the girl has died on the way to hospital.
Tamil Nadu chief minister Mr. Edapadi Palanisamy has expressed his condolences to the family of Ms. N. Logeshwary who lost her life in the untoward incident.
FAKE SAFETY DRILL AUTHORITY
Further investigation on this incident has revealed that the person involved in the “safety drill” is said to be a fake authority. National Disaster Management Authority has told that they have not involved in this safety drill operation neither it was carried out under their guidance.
The said (fake) safety instructor R. Arumugam involved in this incident was arrested and was remanded in police custody. The initial investigation revealed that he possess fake certificate to conduct such drill operations and NDMA has not advised any college for such drill operations. It is also said that this person has been carrying out such safety drill operations since six years in many institutions. The students will be provided with a certificate upon completion of this “safety drill” operation and students were told they can have it registered in employment office.

Lokeswari, a 19-year-old girl was a student persuing 2nd year BBA in Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. During this process of “safety drill” operation, she was pushed down forcefully from the second floor of the college building towards the safety net held at the ground. The girl hits sunshade as she falls down and she lands on to the safety net after hitting sunshade at 1st floor. Though she was rushed to the Coimbatore Government hospital nearby, she died on the way after serious head injuries. The safety instructor R. Arumugam was arrested. CM expressed his condolences to the family and announced Five Lakhs for the lost life.
