Andhra Pradesh’s new capital now is going to be Amaravati. In the year 2014, Anhdra Pradesh and Telegana have separated as two states. Earlier, Hyderabad was the capital of united Andhra Pradesh (till now Hyderabad remains as capital to both the sates until 2024). It was then decided that Hyderabad will be the capital of both Andhra Pradesh and Telengana for 10 years until a new capital for Andhra Pradesh is formed. Hyderabad will be the capital only for Telengana after this period.
Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has announced Amaravati will be the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. He has roped in “Bahubali” fame, director Rajamouli to design the blueprint of the capital city; Amaravati. Chandrababu Naidu has said that he wants to build this city as his dream-city. Also, the planning is going to build the city to be one of the top 5 best cities in the world and topmost city in India.
Many engineers, technicians, think-tanks and others are made to involve in this project to build Amaravati. Many technicians who have worked in the film “Bahubali” are involved in creating the blueprint of the city.
Amaravati: The New Capital of Andhra Pradesh
There are 7 more years to complete the project and to declare Amaravathi as capital of the state. However, Chandrababu Naidu wants to complete the work before the end of 2019 and make the city accessible. Amaravathi’s capital plan consists of engineers from across the world, especially from Singapore.
Money spent on this new capital of Andhrapradesh would be about 58 thousand crore rupees. Funds are collected from various sources; both from Government and other sectors. The whole new city is built on 33 acres of land acquired from farmers. All these farmlands will be converted into mega-city before the year 2019.
